Here Are 50 Bob Ross Quotes That Will Make Today Better

Today is Bob Ross' birthday. The late painting instructor, famous for his storied, 11-year run as the host of "The Joy of Painting," would have turned 73 years old, were he the immortal personification of happiness born from a pristine canvas in 1942 with the sole purpose of teaching us mere amateurs how to wield a paintbrush still alive.

For those unfamiliar with his public television show -- for shame! -- "The Joy of Painting" consisted largely of Ross demonstrating the wonder that is landscape painting. He painted mountains and trees and streams, all the while dropping incredibly zen knowledge in his tingle-inducing tones. His episodes were equal parts art instruction and tranquil wisdom, perfect for the ASMR-obsessed amongst us.

On this blessed day, we decided to round up some of Ross' most whimsical advice. Here are 50 quotes from his show that will make today feel you're soaring above a billion little clouds and all your happy little tree friends are there to high-five you.
