Squids Take On Submarine In Terrifying Video

Animal vs. machine. It's a battle fit for the silver screen -- or, at very least, a viral Vine.

Members of Green Peace recently captured footage of a pair of Humboldt squids trying to attack one of the organization's Dual Deep Worker submersibles during an expedition in the Bering Sea between Russia and Alaska, CNet reports.

Video posted to Vine Oct. 10 shows one of the squids in a seemingly aggressive state, shooting spurts of black ink at a sub containing two crew members. In turn, Geobeats reports in the video above, crew members shined a bright light at the squid in an attempt to scare it away.

The squid reportedly swam away after his "tantrum," according to Geobeats, and the sub was likewise unharmed. Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/14/squid-attacks-submarine-video_n_5984044.html?utm_hp_ref=weird-news&ir=Weird+News
