Artist Dario Gambarin specializes in artworks on crops.
His latest work is a 650-foot-long version of the Ebola virus in a 121,000-square-foot field that he says is meant to raise awareness about the disease.
Gambarin said he wanted to draw attention to the Ebola crisis after a Spanish nursing assistant was infected in the first case of Ebola being transmitted outside of West Africa, according to the Press Association.
It seems to have worked. The artwork has gone viral -- on the Internet, that is.
