Swerving SUV Sends Teen On Bike Airborne In Hit-And-Run Caught On Video

A 14-year-old boy in Holiday, Florida, is lucky to be alive after being hit by a swerving SUV while he was on his bike.

The incident happened Monday afternoon when a gold 1998 Ford Expedition SUV ran a stop sign and began to lose control, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The SUV drove off the street into a yard before hitting a mailbox, a parked car and the boy, later identified as Johnny A. Walsh.

Despite taking a hit, Walsh managed to stand up after being hit. He was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries, such as bumps and bruises on his legs, hip and arms, according to WTSP TV.

The SUV then hit a mailbox, causing debris from that impact to hit a 12-year-old bicyclist, according to FoxNews13.com.

After all that, the SUV drove away in a hurry, and ran another stop sign before turning left. Witnesses said the hit-and-run driver also hit two people at a nearby CVS, according to ABC Action News.

A white car that followed the SUV took down the license plate as GYCT99.

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking help in apprehending the driver of the SUV, who witnesses describe as a white man between 20-30 years of age with light brown or blonde hair.
