Men Dressed Up As Traffic Cones And Blocked The Street Because Halloween Can Be Hilarious

Police were called to the scene of a road blockage in London this weekend, but not for the reason you'd think.

Kingston Police were contacted at 4:33 a.m. on Sunday about a bizarre incident unfolding in Kingston upon Thames involving a group of men wearing costumes meant to look like reflective orange traffic ones.

“They were just standing in front of the taxi and the bus not letting them get past and taking pictures of themselves,” passerby Dan Theochari, who captured a photo of the perps, told the London Evening Standard. "I didn't actually see the police I was waiting for a taxi but I saw it and it made me laugh.”

Chris Bendoris, 24, was one of the men inside of the cones and admitted their antics started long before the police were called.

"We had all got the train in and were were just running about the city center going mental," he told Yahoo! News. "One of the lads was trying to climb on to the top of the Duke of Wellington statue but the police weren’t too happy about that. We dress up as a group every year.”

While the Halloween stunt definitely brought some LOLs, blocking traffic can be problematic.

“We are human beings and we do find things amusing,” a spokesperson for the Kingston police told BuzzFeed News. “Obviously, they were standing in the middle of the road and there’s a dangerous side to it.”

Stay safe out there, kids!
