Hilarious Halloween Prank Has Human Cones Blocking Street

It's pretty impressive when your Halloween costume functions exactly as whatever you're imitating.

A group of six pranksters successfully used their orange cone Halloween costumes to block traffic, just like human-sized versions of the cones that keep drivers from hitting potholes every day.

Police in Kingston upon Thames in London got a call around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday morning about men dressed as traffic cones blocking Clarence Street, Evening Standard reports.

The police department tweeted out an image of the call record from their emergency response team. It now has more than 500 retweets.

Video and photos documenting the cone conundrum show the revelers blocking the street in front of a car and a bus near a traffic light.

Twitter user Dan Theocari witnessed the blockade, tweeting an image.

“They were just standing in front of the taxi and the bus not letting them get past and taking pictures of themselves,” he told Evening Standard.

"I didn't actually see the police. I was waiting for a taxi but I saw it and it made me laugh.”
