He might be eating his words today, as fiber has risen up to fight him. The Banana was a wrestling fixture in Seattle Semi-Pro Wrestling until he slipped into a power struggle with league creator Josh Black and colleague Bill Bates.
There's plenty of drama surrounding the independent wrestling scene, and it all unfolds in the documentary "Bodyslam: Revenge Of The Banana," which earned rave reviews when it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last month.
Black and Bates, who grapple as creepy clown Ronald McFondle and pretty boy Sir Eddie Van Glam for Seattle Semi-Pro Wrestling, thought it'd be amazing to hire pro wrestling fan Paul Richards and get him to dress up as a character called The Banana.
But when Richards had different ideas of how his character should behave, SSP split with The Banana.
