Beautiful Video Perfectly Describes Why Time Goes By Faster As We Get Older

From the years of our youth, we're just waiting for time to pass. As children, we wait for the school bell, which signals freedom from the classroom. We also wait for summer vacation, which can feel like forever. Then, as teens, we impatiently wait for each next milestone -- 21st birthdays, graduations, first jobs, first loves and so on. But then everything changes and we reach a point in our lives when we're so consumed by responsibilities, we feel we never have enough time. If only, we wish, the days could be longer.

That feeling is called "Zenosyne," according to YouTube's Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. It's "the sense that time keeps going faster."

In the amazing video above, they describe perfectly why it feels like every year, "your birthday arrives one day earlier."

Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think in comments below.

And remember, "Life is short. And life is long. But not in that order."
