This Is How The Orioles-White Sox Game Sounds And Feels

The Baltimore Orioles played the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday at Orioles Park at Camden Yards in front of zero fans -- save for a few Orioles employees inside, and fans who found themselves some views outside the stadium.

The decision to close the game to fans -- a result of safety concerns related to the Freddie Gray protests -- made for an odd and oddly quiet affair, as all the murmurs and singing of a typical baseball game were replaced by thwacks and spit.

PLAYERS WARMING UP

PLAYERS TAKING THE FIELD

FAKE HIGH FIVES

CATCHERS RUNNING AROUND

SILENT STRIKEOUTS

SOUNDS OF A CATCHER CATCHING

NO FANS TO CATCH TOSSED-AWAY BALLS

OR HOME RUN BALLS

INSTEAD, THEY'RE STUCK OUTSIDE

WHICH WAS ODD AT TIMES

AND THEN, OF COURSE, THERE WAS THE SEVENTH-INNING STRETCH

IT WAS ODD
