Joquasha Rosado, a 17-year-old student at South Richmond High School in Staten Island, is accused of using a metal stool to attack her 15-year-old classmate on Jan. 5.
Rosado’s lawyer, Michael Harding, told KRON that his client was provoked by the boy's "totally unacceptable" behavior.
“My client was at her desk studying when a male student placed his buttocks directly in her face and humiliated her by performing a bodily function,” Harding said.
In addition to hitting the male student in the head with a stool, Rosado also punched him in the head “ten to fifteen times,” according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Smoking Gun. He needed eight staples in his head after the incident.
Rosado was charged with felony and misdemeanor assault, as well as harassment, and was released on her own recognizance, the Staten Island Advance reports.
