Dad Lets 4-Year-Old Daughter Tattoo Him, Suffers Facebook Backlash

A Florida dad let his young daughter leak her creativity beyond the page and give him a permanent tattoo.

Brad "bob-tat" Bellomo is the owner of 3rd Eye Tattoo in Largo. His 4-year-old daughter Chloe often accompanies him to the shop and has been drawing since a young age.

"I’ve been teaching her about [tattooing]," Bellomo told HuffPost, "so that was her first try."

Chloe had been asking her dad if she could give him a tattoo, so they decided she should draw a picture of a strawberry, as a nod to a nickname Chloe has for her dad.

"I thought that would be a good choice," he said "Still kind of cute, and has a lot of meaning."

Bellomo posted this photo to his Facebook page and it instantly went viral, but was met with lots of mixed reviews.

He says that the post was reported to Facebook five times by commenters who didn't agree with his parenting choices.

"It's a positive thing that got mostly positive support," Bellomo told HuffPost, "but people reported it for nudity and just people hating, and trying to get it off there saying it was offensive."

Now, Bellomo says he can't log into Facebook, which is hurting his business. His friend requests and followers spiked since his post went viral two weeks ago, but he can't access his page to connect with potential customers.

Instead, Facebook prompts him to prove his identity. Everyone knows him by his professional tattoo name "bob-tat," which is the name associated with his Facebook account. He says his attempts to reclaim his account have been unsuccessful.

"It's been cool that so many people saw [the post] but now it's just backfiring," he told HuffPost, "I just want to go back to doing business and running my shop."

Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
