This Couple Tied The Knot After 68 Years Apart

Frank Gray and Ada Hatch's love story began in 1946, when the two first locked eyes at church camp.

The pair hit it off right away, Hatch told HuffPost Live's Nancy Redd on Thursday.

"When we went to church camp I got very homesick and I was glad that Frank was there," she said. "So we became friends to know each other better then."

It wasn't long before Gray gathered up the courage to ask his new crush out on a date.

"Then after we got home, I don't know, It was a little while [afterward] maybe, I asked her if she would go to a movie with me," he said.

After six months of dating, the love birds broke up and Hatch found a new love interest. Eventually, they married other people and created their own families.

But decades later, when Gray -- whose wife died two years ago -- heard that Hatch's husband had also passed away, he reached out to try his luck with her one more time. Three calls later, she agreed to go on a date with him.

After rekindling their romance, the couple wasted no time. Gray and Hatch tied the knot this past Valentine's Day, 68 years after they met.

"Well, we're both 85. How much longer do we have to enjoy each other? That's a big question and probably we haven't gotten too many years left here," he said." So why not try to enjoy it? And I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy it than to be with this girl."
