This Candidate For Governor Jumped Out Of An Airplane To Raise Awareness For Veterans

Republican Will T. Scott jumped out of an airplane Monday to raise awareness for his efforts to help veterans in the state of Kentucky.

Scott, a retired paratrooper and gubernatorial candidate in the Bluegrass State, took the skydiving trip at the Elizabethtown Airport from about 3,500 feet, according to the AP. After the jump, Scott outlined his plans to help veterans in a press conference.

WHAS reports the jump is taking place 50 years after Scott first jumped out of an airplane during his Army training.





According to WKYT, former Menifee County Sheriff Rodney Coffey is Scott's running mate in the race to replace Gov. Steve Beshear (D), who is unable to run again in 2015 due to term limits.
