How To Use Your Phone During Sex (Don't)

Keep your phone out of the bedroom.

Don't Snapchat while you're snuggling, don't tweet when you're tickling, and don't Facebook if you're, well, you know.

That's the premise of a new ad from Durex. In it, a group of couples is invited to Siren, a dating app company, to see "how their smartphone could make sex amazing." They think they're going to get some special app or gizmo, but the secret to Durex's "tech revolution for the bedroom" is much simpler: Just turn the thing off.

You'd think this goes without saying, but it doesn't. Nearly 20 percent of young adults once said they use their smartphones during sex, according to a survey from Harris Interactive. Given that 63 percent of smartphone users between the ages of 18 and 29 say they sleep with their devices in their beds, you can imagine how adult fun time might be interrupted by a phone call, errant text or "Candy Crush" notification.

Since reading on a screen before bed might be killing you anyway, you'd probably do well to exile the phone from your bedroom altogether.
