A Gonzaga University student earned some extra pocket money Monday night after nailing what must be one of the luckiest half-court shots ever sunk.
According to Bleacher Report, the Washington student won $500 in a contest after sinking the unlikely shot during a break in Gonzaga's Monday night game against Southern Methodist University.
“The shot bounced off the top of the backboard, caromed roughly 10 feet in the air and fell right through the rim as though the shooter planned it that way,” Yahoo! Sports wrote of the lucky basket. “Whoever the shooter is, he deserves better than a $500 prize.”
