Just as we were getting over the man who attempted to surf on top of a dead whale, a video of a similar stunt has emerged, sparking a discussion about harassing animals.
In the latest video, a man named Brett is dared by his friend to jump on a tiger shark swimming near their boat. Brett accepts the challenge and jumps in. (Spoiler alert: He fails.)
The big takeaway here is that jumping on a shark -- or any wild animal for that matter -- can injure the animal and cause it stress, but as The Dodo pointed out, tiger sharks may also experience a temporary paralysis known as tonic immobility, which can occur when a person touches the area around a tiger shark's eyes.
Also, word on the street is that shark bites hurt.
