A man accused of attempting to rob a Michigan pizzeria didn't get away with much dough at all.
In fact, he didn't get away. Instead, he spent 11 hours stuck in the vent of the restaurant's pizza oven.
The Sunday morning incident occurred at the Cracker Barrel Pizza Store in Brandon Township, Michigan. Authorities said the unidentified man attempted to gain entry to the pizzeria by removing a vent cap and crawling down, according to the Detroit Free Press.
But the man got stuck halfway between the roof and the floor like a piece of burned cheese.
A few hours later, the Oakland County Sheriff’s department responded to a call after reports of a screaming man.
Authorities arrived at the restaurant and discovered the suspect trapped in the vent pipe, according to CBS Detroit.
Although firefighters freed the man from his pizza prison, the suspect was reportedly uncooperative with the police.
The man was arrested and taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries and dehydration, according to the Associated Press.
The suspect's name will not be released until he's formally charged.
Police say he has a criminal history that includes a 2005 conviction for home invasion, and two 2012 convictions for breaking and entering and possession of a controlled substance.
He has been on parole from the Michigan Department of Corrections for the 2012 convictions, according to ClickOnDetroit.
