Life Is A Little Bit Perkier Thanks To This Artist's Boob Scarves

Beth Yara is an artist with one thing on her mind: boobs. (Okay, maybe two things.) She is the mastermind behind boobsRus, an Etsy store that specializes in boob scarves, garments of knitted warmth that culminate in two dangling D cups.

The boob-scarf phenomenon all started with John. "That's the guy I made the boob scarf for in the first place," Yara explained to The Huffington Post. "He is hilarious and, yes, obsessed with boobs. Every year I try to outdo myself on what I give him for Christmas, and several years ago I came up with the brilliant idea for a boob scarf. He proudly wore his scarf while we went shopping. People kept coming up to us, wanting to feel his boobies! It became an instant hit, and the rest is history."

Yara's scarves come in a standard size, which she estimates measure in around a D cup. She will, however, take custom orders, and has occasionally created scarves with more busty curves, as well as some that sag. They come in ivory, pink, tan and dark brown, with the option of adding a boob tattoo if you're feeling feisty. There's also a variety for dogs eager to experience the thrill of a hefty bosom.

Although Yara embraces the silliness of her craft, the core of the project has plenty of heart -- you know, that hidden thing between the boobs. "Breast cancer has affected two lovely ladies in my family and so it really hits home," she explained. Many of Yara's customers are breast cancer survivors and supporters, and she often donates her scarves to benefit auctions raising money to find a a cure. "What I'd like to communicate through our scarves is that laughter truly can be the best medicine."

Yara also hopes her plushy accessories will remind women everywhere to be diligent about monthly breast checks. In her words, "It could turn out to be nothing, but it could also turn out to save your life." Ladies and gents and puppies of the world, check your boobs, love your boobs, flaunt your boobs (and boob scarves, of course).
