If celebrities have taught us anything, it's that nothing dooms a marriage quite like an over-the-top vow renewal ceremony.
In the video above, Entertainment Tonight looks back at eight celeb couples who renewed their vows then called it quits anyway. A minute in and we were already feeling nostalgic for Heidi Klum and Seal's yearly themed renewal ceremonies. (Though to be honest, we'd really like to forget their 2009 "trailer trash"-themed ceremony.)
