He'll learn. A University of Connecticut student shown berating and shoving a student union employee after being denied mac and cheese was arrested Sunday, according to outlets.
Luke Gatti, 19, of Bayville, New York, was charged with breach of peace and criminal trespass, the Hartford Courant reported.
In a viral YouTube video of the incident, titled "Drunk Kid Wants Mac And Cheese," Gatti can be seen telling the manager of Union Street Market, "Just give me some f--king bacon, jalepeno mac and cheese" and verbally abusing him. The manager tells the student, "You can't come in here with an open bottle of booze, dude. Think about it!"
He reminds the belligerent lad that he's underage and not welcome, only to be met with more insults. But one last push provokes another employee to take down the student and hold him on the ground with the manager's help until a cop arrives to cuff him.
Outlets are teaching the kid a Media 101 lesson that bad publicity is not always good publicity. Gawker called Gatti a "drunken shithead" in its headline, noting that he was reportedly arrested twice last September for run-ins with police while at UMass Amherst.
