In movies and TV, it's common for a crime to be solved by the sudden appearance of an unexpected witness, or a damning piece of evidence turning up completely out of the blue.
That rarely happens in real life, but there are some crimes that were solved because of coincidences that were so insane, it's almost as if the universe was telling the criminals that they had selected the wrong career path.
