Manuel Aragon Bit Off Man's Fingertip While Watching UFC Fight: Cops

When Manuel Aragon sat down to watch a UFC fight with members of his family on Sunday, he didn't expect he'd soon be grappling with an assault charge.

Aragon, 28, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was watching the fight with his girlfriend’s family when some of them started insulting him about his job, the Albuquerque Journal reports.

His exact occupation was not mentioned in the police complaint, according to the paper.

At some point, a drunken brawl broke out at the house and Aragon allegedly bit off the right index fingertip of Rey Gutierrez.

Aragon allegedly also threw rocks in Gutierrez's eyes, resulting in permanent disfigurement, according to KRQE.

Aragon's girlfriend told police that Gutierrez and two unidentified men punched and kicked the suspect while he was down on the ground, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities took Aragon to a hospital before booking him in the county jail on two counts of aggravated battery.
