Flying Fried Shrimp Star In The Most Confusing Japanese Commercial We've Ever Seen

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's ... two women catapulting flying, flaming instant fried shrimp? Sure. We'll take it.

The video above is, according to Yahoo, actually a commercial for a Japanese phone company. No, the flying shrimp have nothing to do with the phone company that we can determine and that's quite alright by us. We're just happy this absurd food video exists.

In our opinion, there's no way to accurately sum up this video into words, so here's a GIF-by-GIF breakdown of our new favorite "cooking" video:

1. Oh look, here's a regular ol' dinner dish.

2. Oh look, here are two women about to cook said dinner dish.

3. Wait, are they in a lab?

4. What are they doing with that? Oh crap.

5. We've got to see that again.

We'd eat it.

In conclusion: No, this video won't offer great cooking advice. No, you shouldn't try this yourself. No, this probably isn't sold at mass retailers. But by goodness, if this didn't bring a shocked smile to your face, there's something wrong with you.
